Popular cephalopod overlord anime Ika Musume has been announced as being due a second season.

Details have not been released, but the timing suggests the producers cannily waited to see how the first disc releases sold (they did quite well) rather than trust in the show’s online popularity.

The announcements, thankfully genuine as some rather convincing fakes have been circulated recently.

The only question being asked about all this is what took them so long…
