Video rental store employees provide a rather entertaining ranking of their favourite anime of 2010, displaying a welcome balance of moe, gag and ero anime.

The ranking, based on votes taken from a panel of video rental store employees as to the best TV anime and OVAs of 2010 they would most like to recommend to someone (number 1 also gets an award):

Sengoku Basara is easy to recommend, though the first season came out in 2009 so I'm not sure if it counts. As for ecchi, I've successfully recommend PSG to a few people without feeling like a total pervert as the comedy and animation style takes the edge off a lot of it. Had positive feedback from Highschool of the Dead too, though I haven't had the time to watch anything passed the third episode...
