Cape Town Cosplay Event - Photos!

The Event in the title is the very first cosplay get together hosted by the Cosplay Cape Town group. (See Facebook page here.) This event took place on Saturday 3 December at Kirstenbosch Gardens.

It was a great success. The following are some photos from the event:

Sasha and I cosplayed Haruhi and Mikuru from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Anime) in their festive yukata. It took hard work completing them and we are very happy with the outcome. We did an awesome studio shoot after the event. I will add my favorite photos to this post as they become available, we had tons of fun lol!

Sashi has been cosplaying since 2003 and sews + crafts all her own costumes. I plan on interviewing her soon for my blog. Keep your eyes peeled!



It took a lot of effort making this vision become a reality. Along with guidance from Sasha I could assist in the success we found it to be. The obi on my yukata was my very first sewing ever :D



Sweet Elza, one of Cape Town's best cosplayers. Here she is cosplaying Yui Hirasawa from K-on!



Here you can picture Yui and Itachi from Naruto (Anime) dating as they are a couple in real life. Darren is also one of the best cosplayers I have seen from Cape Town.



Yuuki Cross from Vampire Knight Guilty (Anime) and Tifa from Final Fantasy (Game).



Yukino Miyazawa from His and Her Circumstances (Anime) and Mugen from Samurai Champloo (Anime).



Hinata from Naruto and Dr Frankenstein from Soul Eater
