A ranking of the 10 anime and manga girls boasting the most “ideal” body proportions presents some food for thought, particularly with the disturbingly high positioning of the girls of One Piece.

3. Nami (One Piece)
4. Boa Hancock (One Piece)
5. Nico Robin (One Piece)
6. Mio Akiyama (K-ON!)
7. Mikuru Asahina (Haruhi)
8. Misato Katsuragi (Evangelion)

10. Aya Toujo (Ichigo 100%)
The presence of hideously drawn characters (the grotesquely exaggerated proportions of the girls of One Piece being a case in point) probably has more to do with their extreme popularity than their actual proportions.
This also explains the general absence of both “moeblob” characters and anything approaching a flat chest…
